Raiders Rumors: Could Steelers wide receiver George Pickens be hinting at a possible trade to the Raiders?
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens may (Or may not) Be hinting at a possible trade to the Las Vegas Raiders. Pickens recently posted a picture of him and Raiders minority owner Tom Brady on the sidelines at a game from last season. The Steelers recently acquired star WR DK Metcalf in a trade and then immediately extended him to a huge contract.
Again, this is all speculation. He also could have just been simply posting a photo of him and legendary former QB Tom Brady instead of Raiders minority owner Tom Brady. But it still holds some weight either way you look at it. The Raiders do need another solidified WR next to Jakobi Meyers, and Pickens, Meyers and Bowers would be an elite trio. Pickens just turned 24 a couple of weeks ago too, so he’s still very young. In three seasons in the NFL with the Steelers, Pickens has totaled 174 catches, 2,841 yards and 12 touchdowns. Averaging 16.3 yards per catch.
He has gotten better every year he’s been in the league, he was on his way to another career year last season before it was cut short due to injury, in which he ended up playing only 14 out of 17 games. Not to mention, he has always had inconsistent quarterback play, having 8 quarterbacks in just three seasons. Below is the picture of him and Brady that he posted yesterday on his Instagram. What do you think? Is it just him posting a picture with the greatest QB of all time? Or is there something more to it, like a possible trade brewing to the Raiders?
