Las Vegas Raiders: 2025 Mock Draft
Guess what guys, it’s mock draft season and I am going to take a crack at who I think Raiders will pick in this year’s draft. Below are my picks and the reasons for choosing them.
Let’s have some fun.
Round 1, Pick 6: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
Rationale: Geno Smith needs weapons, and McMillan’s 6’5” frame and 1,136 yards in 2024 make him a perfect fit. He elevates an offense ranked 25th in passing yards (3,563) last season, complementing Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers.
Round 2, Pick 37: TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State
Rationale: The league-worst rushing attack (79.8 yards per game, 3.6 yards per rush in 2024) gets a boost with Henderson’s explosiveness. He aligns with Pete Carroll’s run-first philosophy and supports Smith’s play-action game.
Round 3, Pick 68: Zy Alexander, CB, LSU
Rationale: A CB1 is still a need despite Koonce’s return at EDGE. Alexander’s size (6’2”) and coverage stats bolster a secondary that ranked 23rd against the pass (236.1 yards per game).
Round 4, Pick 107: Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
Rationale: Protecting Smith (107.4 passer rating when clean since 2022) is key. Ersery’s 6’6”, 330-pound build addresses a line that allowed the 26th-highest pressure rate, offering depth and future starter potential.
Round 5, Pick 144: Keon Sabb, S, Alabama
Rationale: With Marcus Epps and Trevon Moehrig’s departure, Sabb’s adds depth and special teams value. He’s a smart late-round pickup for Carroll’s defense.
Round 6, Pick 182: Simeon Barrow Jr., DT, Miami (FL)
Rationale: Depth behind Christian Wilkins remains a priority. Barrow’s pass-rush upside enhances a line with Crosby and Koonce, targeting AFC West QBs.
Round 6, Pick 204 (Compensatory): Beaux Limmer, OG/C, Arkansas
Rationale: Andre James’ release on March 7 leaves a hole at center. Limmer’s versatility across the interior line provides a developmental backup and competition, critical for Smith’s protection after Seattle’s shaky line play.
Round 6, Pick 208 (Compensatory): Jaylin Allen, LB, Cincinnati
Rationale: With Divine Deablo’s and Robert Spillane’s departure, Allen’s tackling prowess and athleticism add linebacker depth and special teams juice late in the draft.
Round 7, Pick 214: Josh Thompson, WR, Texas
Rationale: More weapons for Smith can’t hurt. Thompson’s speed and 2024 production (projected 800+ yards, per early mocks) make him a deep-threat flier, stretching defenses alongside McMillan and Bowers.
