After trading for QB Geno Smith about a month ago, the Raiders have officially extended Geno’s contract, making it a two year extension worth $75M. The contract does have incentives that could push the total to 85.5M, and includes 66.5M in guaranteed money, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
QB Geno Smith is now under contract for the next three seasons with the Raiders. Las Vegas finally found their quarterback. In the last three seasons, Smith has been among the most accurate quarterbacks in the NFL, and is sixth in wins. Now the Raiders can focus on other positions of need for the rest of free agency and the draft coming up later this month.
