The Las Vegas Raiders are working to trade CB Jack Jones by the end of today, but if they can't work out a trade, Jones will be released on Monday. In his season and a half with the Raiders, Jones had 5 interceptions. Three last year, which led the team. However, he also was burnt a lot, despite only giving up one touchdown last season.
It’s interesting, because while it seems the Raiders might be sold on Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, this could mean they might be pivoting and setting up to draft Michigan star cornerback Will Johnson. Or, they could also just believe that third year player Jakorian Bennett is the answer, as he had a phenomenal season last year before his season ending injury. Either way, this is an interesting move and something to keep an eye on for both now and the draft coming up later this month in just a few weeks.
